A Powertrain Control Module engine management system tunes the engine with every firing stroke. A 32-bit central processor is linked to the vehicle's communications bus via an electronic gateway, which makes all engine data available to appropriate electronic modules - climate control, body computer and instrument cluster. A "body computer" controls a range of lighting features, including switching off all interior lights after one hour to prevent a flat battery. A personal Priority Key system stores preferred settings for climate control, sound system, trip computer, speed alert, transmission mode, instrument brightness, antenna height and headlamps-off time delay. There are, of course, the standard electronic aids such as anti-lock brakes and traction control.
