THE Caprice sound system incorporates a cassette player with auto reverse and soft-touch controls. It offers automatic program search, Dolby noise reduction, metal tape equalisation and blank tape skip. A 10-disc CD changer is located in the boot. The system also has an equaliser, a new Digital signal processor to simulate venues, (like a concert hall, stadium, or club), and a new "Position" button to shift the stereo image for different passenger loads, from full cabin to when the driver is sitting alone. The system has 12 speaker elements, including subwoofers, and a total output 260 watts. Two pairs of headsets are provided for rear passengers and there is a "multi-mode" function to separately supply the headsets with radio, cassette, or CD mode when not being used by the driver. Rear overhead console remote controls are provided for radio, cassette and compact disc functions. A fully automatic power antenna incorporates driver adjustable pre-setting for height, and auto retracts with the remote control priority key. There is also a rear window "diversity" FM antenna.
