Holden upgrades Rodeo

HOLDEN has extended and upgraded the 2001 Rodeo range of light commercial vehicles, increasing feature levels but not moving prices.

There are now a mind-boggling 47 variations of the Rodeo available, including the new LT Sport Space Cab 4x4, which is available in petrol and diesel variants.

For the first time, buyers of Rodeo LX, LT and LT Sport 4x4 V6 Petrol Crew Cab models can option four-speed automatic transmission.

As a limited offer, all single-cab chassis Rodeos purchased during the months of July and August qualify for free air-conditioning and free alloy tray (offer excludes fleet and government purchases).

Stablemate to the top-of-the-range LT Sport Crew Cab, the LT Sport Space Cab features two-tone paint treatment, a chrome sports bar, wheel arch flares, rear bumperettes, multi-reflector headlamps, side steps, chrome-finished mirrors and door handles and 16 x 7-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, teamed with 245/70R-1075 tyres.

It also features power steering, central locking, power windows, power mirrors, six-CD stacker, leather wrap steering wheel, gear and transfer shift controls.

Powered by a 140 kilowatt 3.2-litre V6, teamed with five-speed manual transmission, it offers push-button 'Shift on the Fly', which allows shifting between 2WD and 4WD High at speeds up to 100 km/h.

Rodeo's 2.8-litre Turbo Diesel powerplant is optional, as are driver and front passenger airbags.

Across the range, indicator lenses in bumpers and on vehicle sides are now white with an amber bulb and an immobiliser is now standard - as required by law. All Rodeos with a pick-up body now feature a remote fuel filler release.

The Rodeo LX 4x4 Diesel Cab Chassis model is now more accommodating - its bucket seats replaced by a bench seat that carries three.

Interior appointments include the addition of a leather wrap steering wheel, gear and transfer shift controls and a 'headlamps on' reminder to LT Sport models new seat facing fabric on LX, LT and LT Sport models door trim inserts in LX, LT and LTS models patterned to match the seat trim fabric.
