HOLDEN uses two types of steering system on the Rodeo. The first is a manual recirculating ball type with variable ratio, used on the DX 2.2-litre petrol 4x2.

The other is power-assisted recirculating ball type with engine speed sensitive control, fitted to the remaining 35 variants.

The LT Sport gets a leather trimmed steering wheel with cruise control functions mounted between the spokes. This leather trim gives the wheel a nice feel and though some may think that dressing up a ute with leather trim is a bit over the top, it doesn't look at all out of place.

The steering is well matched to the size and weight of the vehicle, and responds predictably at all speeds.
