THE most important news for the Frontera's braking system is that the anti-lock was recalibrated to allow more initial lock-up on dirt roads. This enables the locking wheels to cut through the loose surface and find more grip. Previously the Frontera had been criticised - as have many cars with ABS systems - for its system's dirt-road behaviour. The Frontera uses discs on all four wheels, ventilated at the front and solid at the rear.
