THE Frontera borrows a leaf from the original Pajero with wishbone torsion bar front suspension and a coil-spring rear end. The intention with the rear coil springs is to provide a smoother, more compliant ride than leaf springs, but the Frontera's firm spring rates seem tuned more for carrying loads rather than people.
