MARKETING masterstroke or Holden's biggest mistake? Either way it's a heavy burden for the tiny-tot four-wheel drive Cruze to load up on its chunky shoulders. Fundamentally, Cruze is a Suzuki Ignis beefed-up, jacked-up and powered-up by Holden's engineering team. What makes this niche model so interesting is it is Australia's number one car-seller's first shot at the light-duty or soft-roader market, albeit at the small end in terms of both size and sales potential. While the car has not received a strong reception from the automotive media, early sales have far surpassed expecations.
