THE main safety boast of the Cruze is that all-wheel drive system, which provides better traction security than front-wheel drive in slippery situations like wet and gravel roads. ABS and EBD are also offered for the disc/drum brake package, but as an option package only. Holden also points to the widened track front and rear as a safety feature, but at the same time it should be pointed out that the decision to raise the ride height to 180mm is a negative in terms of centre of gravity. The lower the better is the rule for cars. Passive safety features include dual front airbags, lap-sash seatbelts for all outboard passengers, front seatbelt pretensionsers and height adjustment, and vertically adjustable head restraints for all outboard passengers.
