WITH VY Commodore, Holden has separated the various streams of the Commodore family more clearly and at the same time done away with the signature twin-nostril grille.

S cues include a single bar "sports" grille with a more deeply chiselled Holden lion sitting proudly in the centre, four-pocket headlights with the circular "bulls-eye" indicator and a deep front airdam with blacked out centre section.

At the rear there's a similar blacked out centre section on the skirt, while there's also a shallow spoiler on the boot, sitting above the re-designed "see-through" jewelled tail-lights.

Sixteen-inch alloy wheels are standard, which is one key differentiator from the V8 SS, which gets 18s. Another is the lack of foglights in the front airdam.
