HOLDEN'S Commodore S Supercharged could be defined as the thinking man's musclecar. Although not as overtly sporting as its brawny V8 SS sibling, the "blown" S-pack is no slouch in the performance stakes. Its force-fed 3.8-litre V6 packs a solid punch. the S gains most of the cosmetic add-ons that distinguish the SS from more mundane Commodores. But unlike the SS, the supercharged S backs up its brisk performance with respectable economy figures.
