BEING the safety-oriented Commodore, the Acclaim comes standard with anti-lock braking and traction control, both features made possible by the advances in electronics in recent years. A multiplex communications system improves diagnostic and wiring issues, as well as features such as airbag deployment and automatic headlamp operation. A battery saver function automatically shuts down interior or boot lights after 60 minutes of inactivity when the ignition is turned off.
