THE Commodore's suspension design has MacPherson struts up front and independent semi-trailing arms at the rear. The rear suspension remained unchanged for VX but up front the lower control arm pivot was raised 4mm to build in more understeer and reduce directness off-centre. The stabiliser to strut link is changed to a ball joint, which Holden claims makes the vehicle easier to control in sudden manoeuvres.
