AUSTRALIANS wanting a proper four-seat convertible on a budget no longer need to peruse the classifieds for used luxury drop-tops because Holden has imported the Opel-built Cascada from Europe and tuned it for local conditions.

That’s what General Motors’ local arm wants you to believe, anyway. For the benefit of you, our dear readers, we spent a week sunning ourselves – and three passengers – to see if Holden’s claims ring true.
