THE Barina's dash uses improved plastics for reduced chance of fading in harsh sunlight - a common problem with early versions of its predecessor. The presentation is clearly based on the Astra, with neatly integrated and user-friendly controls and a large multi-function display dominating the view. The display shows time, date, outside temperature and audio settings, and has a rounded hood that makes a nice visual link with the instrument binnacle. The instruments now include a tachometer and a service reminder, new for both the five-door and three-door models.
