THE left-hand indicator stalk alludes to the European (Opel) origins of the Barina, while the lack of electric adjustment for either the windows or external mirrors points to the cost-cutting measures deemed necessary to keep the sticker price low. It is a curious combination - steering wheel-mounted audio controls but no adjustment for the steering wheel or driver's seat in the three-door (the five-door rectifies this). The three-door also neglects to have a slide function on either front seat to assist access to the rear. In the favour of both models are the inclusion variable intermittent wipers, easily reached and user-friendly temperature and stereo controls and a large multi-function display showing audio settings and outside temperature.
