LUGGAGE space in the Barina has increased slightly over its predecessor. With the bench rear seat occupied, the load volume is 260 litres in both the three-door and five-door models. Both also have a 60/40 split-fold rear seat, with the seat base and seatback folding to create a flat floor and a small barrier between the cargo compartment and the front seats. When fully folded, the maximum load area capacity increases to 1060 litres. The cargo floor is carpeted and now features a lamp (previously only found on the five-door) and luggage straps - a legacy of European-spec cars that are required to have safety features such as a toolkit and warning triangle fitted. There's a couple of shopping bag hooks as well.
