ESP (Electronic Stability Program) as a standard feature stands out in this class and this price bracket, as other European convertibles costing more than twice as much as the Astra do not have it as standard on their spec sheets - some don't even offer it as an option. This kind of driver aid technology is usually found only on high-priced, prestige European cars from the likes of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. The fully electric roof is also a unique item in this class, as the Astra's competitors all require part manual operation of the roof in conjunction with electric assistance.
