LUGGAGE capacity in the Astra convertible is restricted by the space required to store the folding roof when it is not in use - the boot space is L-shaped, which can make it difficult to store tall or square items, due to the roof storage section. The capacity of the sedan and coupe models (coupe is based on sedan and the convertible on coupe) is 460 litres, while the hatch models can swallow 380 litres of cargo. The convertible's boot volume is 330 litres, although it can be expanded slightly for long objects courtesy of the load-through ski-port facility in the rear seat backrest.
