DUAL airbags (60-litre front, 120-litre front passenger) are standard across on the Astra three-door model and three-point seatbelts are found throughout the cabin. Head restraints are not provided for rear seat passengers. As well as gaining exclusive access to (height adjustable) headrests, front seat passengers also benefit from pyrotechnic seatbelt pretensioners, force limiters and sash height adjustment. Anti-submarining ramps for all seats reduce the risk of sliding under the seatbelt in the event of a collision. The ABS/traction control package available as an option on the sedan and five-door is not available on the three-door.
