THE Astra's padded dash panel is finished in standard "automotive grey" colour and the hooded instrument binnacle helps prevent night-time glare on the windscreen. A full-size glovebox is located below the passenger's airbag. Astra lacks the profusion of articulated cupholders that is becoming an expected feature in all cars today, but cups can be stored in the (opened) glovebox lid or in special apertures in all four doors.
