THE Astra uses double-isolated front suspension incorporating MacPherson aluminium struts. A completely re-designed compound torsion beam rear axle sets new standards in terms of quality and function to produce greater on-road safety, comfort and driving surety. Astra's suspension has been fine-tuned by Lotus and is teamed with four-wheel disc brakes.
