GM HOLDEN chairman and managing director Mark Reuss will slot into the FCAI president’s chair when John Conomos steps down on June 30.

“I’m very pleased and honoured to represent the Australian automotive industry as president of the FCAI,” Mr Reuss said.

“This is a critical time… The automotive industry makes a significant contribution to the Australian economy and there are a range of future opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

“I look forward to working with all FCAI members as we tackle the challenges and leverage the opportunities to grow the industry.” Mr Conomos will continue to serve as a member of the FCAI’s executive committee until next year’s annual general meeting.

Mr Conomos has been the industry body’s president since 2006, a life member since 1995 and a member of the executive committee for more than 14 years.
