DAIMLER Truck and Bus public affairs senior manager and former motoring journalist Geoffrey Paradise is in an induced coma in Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital after a serious road accident last night.
GoAuto understands Mr Paradise suffered head injuries in the collision between his car and a bus near his home on New South Wales’ central coast and had to be cut from the vehicle.
He was flown to the hospital where he had surgery last night before being placed in an induced coma – standard procedure for brain injury. His condition was not available at the time of publication.
Mr Paradise had been with Daimler Truck and Bus only five months, managing the publicity for Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus, Freightliner Trucks and Fuso Truck and Bus. Previously, he was editor-in-chief and publisher of heavy vehicle industry magazines
