Australia Day honours for industry identities

- Former Castalloy managing director Colin Peters and former Automotive Holdings Group chairman Vern Wheatley were recognised for their services to the automotive industry in the 2016 Australia Day Honours.

- Both received OAM awards, Peters for years of service to the automotive manufacturing sector and professional industry associations, and Wheatley for service to the automotive industry.
