Dyson EV rumours swirl as Aston exec blows in

- Long-time Aston Martin product development director Ian Minards has moved to British consumer electronics giant Dyson, fuelling speculation that the company best known for designing and manufacturing high-performance vacuum cleaners and hand dryers is secretly developing an electric car.

- Dyson has refused to comment on whether Mr Minards, who has joined as global product development director, was hired to work on a vehicle program, saying only that the company has a history of recruiting experts from a wide range of backgrounds and that it was constantly developing new technologies.
