BMW, Audi act on export ring

- Two luxury car companies in Australia are believed to have initiated action to stop the organised export of locally sourced new vehicles to Sri Lanka where they are offered online for sale as “brand new, zero-kilometre” parallel imports in competition with official sales channels.
- New right-hand-drive Audi and BMW vehicles are being advertised on the Sri Lankan vehicles sales website Ikman by small private retailers, mainly in the Colombo area.
