Blown FPVs hit showrooms

THE first 300 examples of Ford Performance Vehicles’ new supercharged V8 models are ready to be shipped from FPV’s Campbellfield factory outside Melbourne to FPV dealers nationally ahead of their official release date of Monday, October 25.

FPV general manager Rod Barrett said the company’s ground-breaking new blown Boss V8 engine had attracted an unprecedented level of customer enquiry, with dealer demand already exhausting FPV’s production capacity for the remainder of 2010.

“We’ve already allocated every car we can make to dealers between now and the end of this year,” he said.

“It’s an exciting time … the interest in the new cars is the best we’ve ever seen, and the response from the media has certainly reinforced our belief that we’ve produced the best-ever Australian-made performance cars.”As we’ve reported, FPV’s landmark new V8 will be available in two supercharged guises – the 315kW Boss 315 for the entry-level GS sedan and ute, and the 335kW Boss 315 for GT, GT-P and GT-E sedans.
