THE idea of a tricked-up Ford Falcon pricing itself almost into BMW territory would seem almost laughable. But the new FTE venture by Ford has resulted in undoubtedly the best performance Falcons ever built, both in their over-the-ground abilities and their perceived quality. The TS50 is full of contradictions. It is a rousing, V8-powered performance car that somehow also comes across as being refined and tasteful. The hot-rod market will love it but it is aimed more at the up and coming - as well as the comfortably ensconced - executive.
