CFC-FREE air-conditioning is standard across the Laser range. Ford claims improved layout and operation of temperature controls, however the central fan speed dial - deliberately downsized to make finding it sight-unseen a simple task - remains too small for large, stubby fingers. A trio of rotary dials and a slide knob for air circulation are retained, however the air-con on/off and rear demist buttons are no longer awkwardly placed either side of the fan. As per the 323, two large vents are provided on the dash fascia, with a further vent positioned at each extremity of the dash to further assist with driver and front passenger comfort.
