THE front brakes are discs and use ventilated rotors while drums are employed at the rear and use asbestos-free friction materials. The 1994 WB Festiva - basically the same car as today's WF model - increased the front disc rotor diameter 55mm to 235mm, with thickness up 5mm to 18mm on the manual and 9mm to 22mm on the auto. Pad friction area was increased by 23 per cent up front and 56 per cent at the rear. The rear drum diameter was boosted 30mm to 200mm.

Anti-lock brakes are not available.
