SATELLITE navigation is optionally available in the XR8. The Carin system uses global positioning to pinpoint the vehicle to an accuracy of plus or minus five metres. The system's CD Rom database covers the national highway system as well as regional towns and is available with a colour or black and white screen. The screen is located at dash centre beneath the sound system controls, in place of the ashtray.
