FALCON AUII employs the 3984cc inline Intech six-cylinder engine, good for 157kW of power at 4900rpm and 357Nm at 3000rpm. Acceleration figures are likely to be slightly slower than AU because the es II Falcon is heavier at 1550kg. In one independent test, AU ran the 0-100 km/h and quarter-mile dash in 8.7 and 16.3 seconds respectively. AUII sixes sip on 91 RON unleaded petrol. Basic features of the Intech engine are familiar: chain-driven single overhead camshaft cast-iron block alloy cross-flow head dual inlet tract manifold cross-bolted alloy sump and multi-point fuel-injection.
