The AUIII Futura is fitted with standard multi-spoke, 16-inch alloy wheels, complete with a full-size spare mounted beneath the boot floor. The Futura went from 15-inch to 16-inch steel wheels with the introduction of the AUII model in 2000. This was chiefly aimed at improving appearance but a half-inch increase in rim width gave subtle improvements in road grip as well.
