AUII brought major improvements to the Falcon's independent rear suspension, optional on Forte, but made only minor changes to the standard live-axle Watts multi-link rear end. The addition of new shock absorbers has helped iron out high-frequency inputs like cracks in bitumen, while at the front end new low-friction ball joints have made the double wishbone suspension more compliant. Work was also done to improve the efficiency of the front anti-roll bar.
