SATELLITE navigation is optionally available in the Fairmont Ghia. The Carin system uses global positioning to pinpoint the vehicle to an accuracy of plus or minus five metres. The system's CD-Rom database covers the national highway system as well as regional towns. The system is available with a colour or black and white screen. The screen for the satellite navigation is located at dash centre above the sound system controls.
