MAKING the best out of a not-so-good thing, Ford fixed the unpopular front end of the base Falcons and did what it could with the unhappy rear end. Upmarket Fairmont Ghia Falcons are less changed, but they do pick up the new rear bumper and restyled boot trim panel. The side profile benefits from bigger, 16-inch wheels and the lower ride height introduced shortly after the AU's original launch.
