THE Pursuit version of the XR6 VCT ute is a limited edition model that was on sale from February to April, 2001. It was fitted with a polished aluminium sports bar, a new body kit and "Pursuit" badging as standard, on top of the specification of the regular XR6 model. The high output VCT six-cylinder engine also became standard fare for the regular XR6 ute during this time, replacing the 164kW HP engine, while the Pursuit body kit became a factory option as well.
