THE Falcon's "Smartshield" security system is standard on the ute, with remote central locking controlled from a separate fob. A panic alarm function, which will sound the vehicle's horn to attract attention, is also part of the system, as is driver's door entry isolation. Only the driver's door has the traditional locking "knob", although once it is down it sits flush with the door trim and cannot be accessed. A separate switch is located on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel, to control locking and unlocking of the doors from inside the cabin. Driver and passenger sunvisors both have vanity mirrors, although only the driver's has a cover. Neither have lights.
