COUGAR'S striking looks ensure it stands out on the road with the front three-quarter view the best. New Edge styling is emphasised by add-ons like aerodynamic mirrors and triangular door handles. Ford purposely avoided the use of wood and chrome in the interior to emphasise functionality. Use of modified Mondeo ST24 underpinnings kept the development costs under control while also keeping on-road behaviour to a high standard. The interior space is restricted by sedan standards but is good in comparison to most other coupes. Kerb weight is high at 1541kg - which is up near the Falcon Forte's weight.
