Ducato gets shorty

FIAT has introduced a new short-wheelbase version of its Ducato large van in Australia, priced from $35,990.

It is powered by a 81kW 2.3-litre turbo-diesel engine, uses a five-speed manual transmission, has a 1.5-tonne payload and 6.7 cubic metres of cargo space available, accessed via rear barn doors and/or a sliding door on either side of the vehicle.

Standard features include air-conditioning, remote central locking, a CD stereo, electric mirrors and a driver’s airbag.
