Seven years of free servicing for Ferrari owners

BY HAITHAM RAZAGUI | 29th Apr 2011

FERRARI has announced a seven-year scheduled servicing program that will entitle customers ordering one of its 458 Italia, FF or California sportscars to seven years of free scheduled servicing.

Customer cars will receive scheduled maintenance at 20,000km or yearly intervals, with no restriction on the number of services for high-mileage drivers. Genuine Ferrari spare parts, engine oil and brake fluid are all included.

The scheme will be rolled out globally over the next 18 months. Public relations manager for Australian Ferrari importer European Automotive Imports Edward Rowe told GoAuto that for each country a range of legal issues must be addressed and the program appropriately tailored before it can be offered.

Mr Rowe said Australian Ferrari customers were likely to receive the scheme’s benefits from the local launch of the new all-wheel drive, four-seat grand touring FF coupe early next year.

The Italian supercar specialist claims its offer is a world first and will help its customers to uphold “the company’s strict requirements for safety, performance and reliability”.

Ferrari believes that its well-heeled customers will feel assured by the guarantee of an annual inspection by “Ferrari-trained personnel using factory-approved diagnostic equipment” and that the scheme will help the brand to continue “setting the standard throughout the industry for customer care”.

The Modenese motor manufacturer has had a good start to 2011 in Australia, with sales up 17.9 per cent to March, bringing the total number of Prancing Horses sold in Australia this year to 33.
