New stables for SA’s Prancing Horses

SOUTH Australian Ferrari owners have a new city location to get their Prancing Horses maintained.

Former Adelaide-based Ferrari dealership Prestige Formula lost the sales operation in November 2011 and ceased to be an authorised Ferrari service centre last year.

Instead, owners will now need to take their charges to the new Ferrari Adelaide service centre within the Adelaide Motors facility on West Terrace.

Ferrari Australasia and Japan chief executive Herbert Appleroth told GoAuto the switch to Adelaide Motors was part of the company’s redevelopment of its Australasian business and that he considered Adelaide a potential growth market.

He said the move was “to ensure we have the best people, best processes and the best premises to ensure Ferrari stays ahead of the competition and provides customer delight”.

“South Australian ‘Ferraristi’ should also have the best and now we will provide that for them with this new important investment in Adelaide.”Adelaide Motors director Kym McInnerey said it was “extremely exciting and a very great pleasure” for his company to represent Ferrari.

“We look forward with great anticipation to providing Ferrari owners and customers a new home worthy of Scuderia Ferrari and a level of service, custom and support that is truly representative of all that is Ferrari.”In a statement, Mr Appleroth said Ferrari was “extremely happy to provide our loyal and future South Australian clients with class-leading levels of service and technical expertise”.
