YRV uses 234mm diameter ventilated discs at the front and 180mm drums with leading and trailing shoes at the rear. The front discs have semi-floating callipers designed for easier brake pad replacement. Daihatsu claims the brake package, which also features a five-port twin proportioning valve, is designed for dependable performance and minimum maintenance.
