THE Terios provides a high driving position and 4WD status for the price of a smaller hatch. The product planners made some ponderous safety omissions - no night adjustment on the rearview mirror, no rear headrests on the base model DX and a lap-only seatbelt on a rear bench which would struggle to comfortably fit three children. Inadequate underbody protection, limited ground clearance (185mm) and the absence of low-range gearing also mean this 4WD is a serious city dweller. Mud wrestling is best watched on the VCR.
