WITH its European roots, the Daewoo Nubira has always looked good in terms of styling, packaging and basic engineering - and with a far-reaching spruce-up it is now even better. The confusing array of models has been replaced by just two versions - sedan and wagon - and the 2.0-litre Holden engine is now the only powerplant. Exterior changes are enough to distinguish the latest model but the big money has been spent indoors where there is a better looking, more comfortable and more ergonomic environment. The 2.0-litre engine is also complemented by a sharpened chassis. A very competent, well equipped small-car contender.
