THE Xsara Coupe does away with conventional wiring, replacing it with a computer-based multiplex system. That means, at its most basic, there are two rather than hundreds of wires running through the car. One is a power supply, the other is a cable carrying instructions from the central computer to switches around the car that turn the electrical items around the car on and off.
