POWER assisted four-wheel discs, ventilated at the front, are standard on the C5. So is anti-lock, along with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist - the latter to maximise braking force in emergency situations.

Citroen says brake assist can reduce braking distances by as much as 25 per cent when travelling at 100km/h. The parking brake operates on the front calipers.
