CITROEN has launched one of this year’s most intriguing small cars/crossovers, in the seductive shape of the C4 Cactus.

Light, sprightly, and incredibly spacious, it is meant to evoke the spirit of the legendary 2CV, and in some ways, this hatchback’s minimalist efficiency succeeds.

But while it may come as no surprise to learn there are foibles in this charming car, almost all are on purpose, underlining the sheer no-compromise thinking that, ultimately, works better elsewhere than in Australia.

So few will experience the Cactus’ delights. More’s the pity.

Fortune will favour the bold.
