VOYAGER uses MacPherson struts up front and an unorthodox combination of a live beam axle and leaf springs at the rear. A rubber-isolated, aluminium front suspension cross member reduces weight by 9kg over a conventional steel design and minimises noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). Chrysler initially denied a self-levelling rear suspension system would improve matters at the rear but a rethink saw it introduced in Australia on the top-spec LX model in February, 2000.
