THE 5 Series sedan has a luggage capacity of 460 litres with the rear seat up. It does not have a thoroughfare through to the rear seats - however the option of a skiport goes some way to addressing the lack of versatility. The fully lined boot has a full-size spare under the floor and hides a CD changer and sat-nav equipment inside the trim. There are a couple of elastic straps and four fixed tie-down points for securing luggage. Gas struts on the bootlid are also welcome features.
